LTE RSRP and RSRQ Calculator
Advertisement
This page provides an LTE RSRP calculator and an LTE RSRQ calculator. The calculations are based on RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) and channel Bandwidth. The formulas/equations used in the LTE RSRP and RSRQ calculators are also mentioned.
RSRP stands for Reference Signal Received Power, and RSRQ stands for Reference Signal Received Quality. While RSSI is measured over the full bandwidth, RSRP is measured over a narrow bandwidth.
RSSI is measured over the entire bandwidth of occupied RBs (Resource Blocks). RSRP, on the other hand, is measured in a single RE (Resource Element) of the LTE Resource Block. Hence, RSRP is called the average received power of a single reference signal RE (Resource Element).
LTE RSRP and RSRQ Calculator and Example
Input:
- BW (Bandwidth) = 10 MHz
- RSSI = -79 dBm
Outputs:
- RSRP (dBm) = -106.78 dBm
- RSRQ (dBm) = -10.79dBm
- PRBs/BW = 50
