Single Mode Fiber Diameter Formula

The following formula is used for the single mode fiber diameter calculation:

d=(2\*λ\*V)/(π\*NA)d = (2 \* λ \* V) / (π \* NA)

Where:

  • d = Core Diameter
  • λ = Wavelength
  • V = Normalized Frequency (V-number)
  • NA = Numerical Aperture

Here, V is the normalized frequency or V-number.
