Texas Instruments (TI) has developed several series of microcontrollers to cater to various application needs. These include:
- MSP430: A 16-bit MCU designed for ultra-low power applications, such as those found in smartphones.
- C2000: A 32-bit MCU targeted for real-time control applications.
- Tiva ARM MCUs: These include the TM4C123x and TM4C129x series, built on the ARM architecture.
- Hercules Safety ARM MCUs: Based on Cortex-R4 and Cortex-M3 cores, these MCUs are designed for safety-critical applications.
The MSP430 is one of the latest ultra-low power 16-bit MCUs designed by Texas Instruments.
