Doppler Resolution | What is Doppler Resolution?

This page mentions what is Doppler Resolution. It also mentions equation of Radar Doppler Resolution.

This is the ability of radar to differentiate targets or objects which are located at the same range but are moving at different radial velocities.

The Doppler resolution is expressed by the following equation:

ΔFd = 1/Td

Where,
Fd = radar doppler resolution in Hz
Td = Look Time in Sec.

The radar doppler resolution can be possible to estimate when doppler frequencies will differ by the amount which is at least 1 cycle over the period used for measurement. This is equivalent to the time taken for signal collection and processing.

Refer Radar Terminology for radar related terms.
