NFC stands for Near Field Communication. If NFC tag is embedded in the phone it will become NFC phone. NFC is a contactless communication method between two devices. The communication happens using EM waves operating at 13.56 MHz frequency. The NFC device can be either passive or active. The active device will have its own power while passive device will derive power for its operation using electromagnetic induction between the coils.

The distance between the NFC devices should be less than 10cm to establish connection. It can transmit data at the maximum rate of 424 Kbps. The speed of data communication depends on NFC tag type. Refer all the features of NFC technology➤.
