WLAN Reassociation Request frame

In WLAN network, reassociation request frame is used by mobile stations in the following scenarios:

•  Moving from one basic service area to the other service area in the same extended service area.

•  leaving the wifi network coverage area and comes back to the same area again

WLAN reassociation request frame

Re-association request frame will include address of the WLAN station's current AP. This information will help new AP to contact old AP and transfer all the association data information. This transfer will include frames buffered with the old AP.

WLAN Reassociation Response frame

WLAN re-association response frame

Reassociation response fields are same as association response frame.
