South African National Space Agency(SANSA) introduces Ku band Antenna for In Orbit
Test of satellites at its space operations facility, in Hartbeesthoek, near Brits.
This 10 meter Ku band antenna along with In Orbit Test equipments will help clients in successfully commissioning new satellites.
The initiative is taken by SANSA to introduce this antenna due to growing demand by satellite owners to equip ground facilities to test the in orbit communications performance of new geostationary satellites.
Uplink performance of the antenna is specified with EIRP of 85 dBW and downlink performance better than 35 dB/K.
SANSA is also working towards construction of South Africa's third satellite, EO-SAT1.
