WiMAX OFDM Basics

This section of MATLAB source code covers WiMAX basics and provide WiMAX OFDM MATLAB code. WiMAX simulink source code is also provided.

WiMAX stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access. There are 5 physical layers defined in wimax standard viz. IEEE 802.16. The popular among are OFDM,OFDMA and SC. This page provides very useful matlab and simulink source code details of wimax OFDM and OFDMA physical layer as per 802.16d and 802.16e standards.

WiMAX OFDMA as per 16e standard simulink model

Refer OFDMA Physical layer article for OFDMA basics, OFDMA frame structure and OFDMA Physical layer. It explains each modules of OFDMA Physical layer as per IEEE 802.16e-2005 Standard. It covers example of 1024 FFT for Downlink chain which is used by Base Station to send information to Mobile subscribers.
