OFDM based carrier aggregation

In carrier aggregation more than one component carriers is allocated to one UE or subscriber. The baseband data whether it is OFDM,OFDMA or SC-FDMA is passed through DAC and up conversion based on the frequency band allocated and required sampling frequency as desired based on bandwidth. The reverse operation ADC and downconversion takes place in receiver part of carrier aggregation circuit.The figure only depicts the transmitter part.

To combine power spectrum of the component carriers power combiner circuit is used based on number of inputs. Here 2 to 1 power combiner is shown.
