Drawbacks or disadvantages of Electric Car

Following are the drawbacks or disadvantages of Electric Car:
➨Electric recharge stations are not available at all the locations on your route. This is a major issue when you are on long drive and run out of charge.
➨As electricity is needed to recharge the electric car, it increases electricity bill.
➨Electric cars offer limited range (about 50 to 100 miles) and speed.
➨It takes about 4 to 6 hours to fully recharge the vehicle.
➨It often leads to accidents in some situations as it does not produce any noise.
➨It usually has capacity of 2 passengers which is a disadvantage when it is required to go on travel with entire family.
➨Batteries are required to be replaced at regular intervals (usually about 3 to 5 years).
➨It can not be used in cities having frequency power outages.
➨Some government organizations do not provide any incentives to buy electric cars. This leads to higher cost to buy such cars.
